Good Health

Strong Gums
The gums are also a factor. In order to promote fast healing and a high success rate, the patient should have exceptionally healthy gums. However, we have to point out that most of our patients who have experienced tooth loss have done so as a result of periodontal or gum diseases. We examine the current condition of the gums and determine if they can handle Dental Implant surgery.

Jawbone Quantity
We also make sure that the patient who is about to go through this dental procedure has enough bone to anchor the implant in the jaw. However, people that have lost bone in the jaw can still get Dental Implants, provided that the bone is rebuilt first through special grafting procedures.

In addition to all these requirements, we also make sure that the patient is committed to taking good care of their implanted teeth as well as the surrounding gums. You have to remember that the overall success of the implants will depend almost entirely on you and how you take care of your teeth and gums.
